Pro Kids Golf Academy, Inc. -- $50,000 Learning Center and Education
Program Description:
The Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund grant of $50,000 supported The Learning Center which provided underserved youth with academic support, educational enrichment, life skills development, and mentorship. The primary objectives were to increase access to high-quality after-school programming, strengthen academic achievement, expand educational resources and workshops, provide meaningful educational field trips, and prepare students for college and future careers. The project also sought to create a safe, supportive environment where students could build confidence, develop positive relationships, and reach their full potenial.
Results:
The Learning Center closely followed the proposed project plan and successfully implemented the core components outlined in the original proposal. Grant funding supported educational materials, academic workshops, field trips, direct student services, and program supplies that enhanced the overall quality of programming. Student progress was measured through attendance, report cards, ongoing communication with partner schools, staff observations, and participation in Learning Center activities. During the grant period, Pro Kids served more than 2,500 youth across its programs, maintained a 100% high school graduation rate among participating seniors, and all middle school participants maintained at least a 3.5 GPA.
Future Plans:
Future plans include strengthening college and career readiness initiatives, expanding educational partnerships, increasing volunteer engagement, enhancing workshops, and continuing to provide enriching educational experiences. To ensure long-term sustainability, Pro Kids continues to diversify through foundation grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, special events, and planned giving initiatives.
