Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund to start the 2026-2027 Membership Year at General Membership Meeting

The Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund (RSFWF) will kick off its 2026-2027 membership year at its General Membership Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. The meeting location will be provided to attendees.

Programs Chair Amy Myers announced that the Kickoff Meeting will feature guest speaker Dr. Mark D. Milliron, president and CEO of National University and one of the country’s leading voices on innovation in higher education. Milliron will share his perspective on where education is headed, how artificial intelligence is transforming learning and work, and what parents, grandparents, mentors, and lifelong learners should know about preparing for the future, a news release stated.

Milliron is an internationally recognized innovator and deeply respected educator with more than three decades of experience catalyzing positive change and educational transformation through his leadership. He is an award-winning author, speaker, and consultant working globally with government agencies, associations, corporations, universities, community colleges, and K-12 schools. He also serves on a host of boards and advisory councils for leading educational institutions, foundations, and nonprofits, the news release stated.

Milliron is committed to advancing National University’s 54-year history of serving nontraditional, working, and military students through access and success innovation and shaping the future of education by championing next-generation learning, Whole Human Education, and value-rich education experiences, according to the news release.

The RSFWF is a collective giving organization whose members join together in meaningful and engaging ways to give back to the greater San Diego and North County communities. Through informed and impactful philanthropy, member-led grantmaking and volunteerism, members support innovative nonprofit programs that address critical local needs, launch bold new ventures or bring a new approach to time-worn problems. Members also engage with each other through educational programming, guest speaker events, community events, and social gatherings. The General Membership meeting is a great opportunity for new and existing members to mingle and connect, the news release stated.
 
The 2026-2027 grant cycle is now underway. Since its inception in 2004, the RSFWF’s grant making process has donated over $6.8 million to 188 local nonprofit organizations and projects.
 
This year’s focus areas are Children and Youth Services and Women’s Services. Organizations typically request grants of approximately $25,000 to $75,000 and the RSFWF usually funds between seven to 11 organizations each year. The grants committee, co-chaired by Laura Froelich and Staci Fournier, will review Letters of Intent and Proposals, members will attend site visits, finalists will make presentations to the members, and the grants are awarded in May.
