RSF Women's Fund Holds Grantee Finalist Presentation Event

APRIL 27, 2024 — 10:25 AM

The Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund recently held its annual Grantee Finalist Presentation event on April 18 at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. Before the event, over the last six months, the RSFWF grant committees reviewed more than 106 grant proposals from charitable organizations in San Diego. They narrowed the pool to 14 finalists, and each finalist presented an overview of their project that required funding with a maximum grant request of $75,000. This year, the focus areas were Women’s Services, including domestic violence and sex trafficking, and issues surrounding physical and mental health support for women and teenage girls, as well as Social Services, including homelessness, economic empowerment, and issues surrounding the disabled, elderly, and immigrant populations, according to a news release.

For the 2023-2024 grant cycle, the RSFWF announced a record-breaking grant pool of $500,000, the highest amount ever. This significant increase is a testament to the “Above and Beyond” initiative that Past Board President Susan Hoehn created and a benefit dinner generously underwritten by Steak 48 Del Mar and the Maestro Family. On May 7, the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club will host the Grant Awards Luncheon, where the top-ranked proposals will receive grant awards.

Through the power of collective giving, the Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund has been a catalyst for positive change in the San Diego community. Since its inception in 2004, the RSFWF will have donated over $5.7 million to 165 local nonprofit organizations and projects, making a significant difference in the lives of many.

In addition to making grants that impact the community, the Women’s Fund provides opportunities for women to connect and engage. RSFWF members can attend events, network with other women, participate in service projects, and learn about important community issues.
