More than 200 Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund (RSFWF) members and their guests enjoyed a Private Preview Night Oct. 9 at the new, award-winning Steak 48 restaurant at the Del Mar Highlands Town Center in Carmel Valley. The event was organized to raise funds for the RSFWF Grants fund and was hosted by CEO Jeffrey Mastro and Chief Brand Officer Oliver Badgio. The fundraiser was a huge success, raising $29,849 for the RSFWF’s benefit, according to a news release.

Steak 48 is a luxurious steakhouse chain with locations across the country that serves prime steaks, world-class Wagyu beef, and fresh seafood. The contemporary space offers an intimate dining experience, a wide selection of drinks, and unparalleled personal service. Steak 48 is proud to partner with its community, and the Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund was one of five community organizations selected to participate in one of its preview nights.

“The generosity of Steak 48 management and the Mastro family inspired our members and their guests to make donations to support further our grant work in North County and the Greater San Diego community.” Said Nikki Carmody Ream, board chair and president of the RSFWF, in the news release. “Like the Women’s Fund, Steak 48 believes in making an impact in the communities where they are located, and we are proud to partner with them.”

The RSFWF’s primary objective is to positively impact the San Diego community by pooling resources. Since 2004, RSFWF has donated over $5.2 million to 154 local nonprofit organizations and projects. Aside from their charitable activities, they offer opportunities for women to connect, learn, and get involved in philanthropic causes. Members get to attend events, network with like-minded women, volunteer, and learn about important community issues.

The Rancho Santa Fe Women’s Fund cordially invites all members of the community to attend its upcoming General Membership meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 11:30 a.m. The featured guest speaker will be Charles Phalen, who has previously served as the director of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), director of Security for the Central Intelligence Agency, and assistant director of the Security Division at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He will be flying in to share his expertise on spies, preventing terrorism at home, and protecting the country from adversaries abroad: An inside look at the technology, gadgets, and espionage tactics that keep this country safe.

Registration for the event is still open. For more information on becoming a member and attending the event, visit www.rsfwomensfund.org or email admin@rsfwomensfund.org.
