Program Description:
The Service2CEO Program supports Military Spouses and Women Veterans in launching and growing small businesses. Program activities impact and empower this underserved population by helping them overcome financial barriers. It has a long-term impact by building a thriving, diverse military entrepreneurial community that stokes the economic engine of San Diego communities while closing the equity gap that exists for their underserved military entrepreneur population.
Results:
The Service2CEO participants completed the following eight training modules for the 12-week program;
- Entrepreneurship 101
- Business Model Canvas/Pitch Deck
- Customer Discovery & Market Assessment
- Essential Legal Concepts
- Financial Mindset & Accounting
- Government Contracting/Supplier Diversity
- Sales/Marketing/Branding
- Leadership/Cultural Competence and Building Your Team
Furthermore, all participants received one-on-one coaching from Chapter Leads, four one-on-one Mentoring Sessions, and ongoing support and resources from Subject Matter Experts and the entire team. Participants’ success was measured in completed homework assignments, post-session evaluations, and a final Pitch Deck Capstone Project.

Future Plans:
The Service2CEO Program will continue to serve this military-connected population. In addition to the program, The Rosie Network has formalized a monthly Mentoring Matters Program designed to continue support beyond graduation from the Service2CEO Program. They are also partnering with Holding Down the Fort Podcast, which will be featuring Service2CEO graduates, helping to build their exposure to the American public consumers. The Rosie Network has also launched a Deploying Hope Campaign to raise funds that will help continue to build programs and meet the growing demands of their program.
